Pera’daki Gizem
Pera Halı’nın kökeni, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun son dönemine kadar uzanan bir hikâyeye dayanır. Rivayete göre, Sultan II. Abdülhamid Han için Pera’da özel olarak dokunan bir halı, saraydan gizemli bir şekilde kaybolmuştur. Saray arşivlerinde izi sürülse de kimse tam olarak nereye gittiğini öğrenemez. Yıllar boyunca nerede olduğu bilinmeyen bu halı, İstanbul’un efsanelerinden biri haline gelmiştir.
20. yüzyılın ortalarında Pera’daki eski bir hanın mahzeninde yapılan bir tadilat sırasında, bu kayıp halı bulundu. İlginç olan, halının renklerinin hâlâ canlı, dokumasının hâlâ sağlam olmasıydı. Bu keşif, geçmişle günümüz arasında adeta bir köprü oluşturdu.
