Jewels on the Floors: Silk Carpet Collection
The queen of the carpet world, the embodiment of elegance, and the most precious treasure a home can possess:Silk CarpetsThese masterpieces, which have adorned the palaces of kings and the walls of collectors for centuries, are more than just a floor covering. They are works of art, created by patient craftsmen who spend months, sometimes years, processing the miraculous fibers obtained from the cocoon of the silkworm. If you are looking for a captivating and "heirloom" piece for your home that is far from ordinary, our silk rug collection awaits you.
The Magic of Light: The Dance of Colors
The most distinctive feature of silk carpets is their interaction with light.
- Prism Effect:Silk fibers, with their triangular prism-shaped cross-section, refract and reflect light. This allows your rug to change color depending on the time of day and the angle from which you view it. From one angle, it appears dark and mysterious, while from another, it looks bright and vibrant.
- Life:No synthetic or wool yarn can replicate the unique shine and color saturation of natural silk. The patterns appear vibrant, almost three-dimensional.
The Power of Subtlety
Silk is one of the strongest natural fibers in the world. This strength allows the yarn to be spun into very fine fibers.
- High Node Density:Silk carpets have many times more knots per square meter than wool carpets (sometimes reaching millions). This ensures that the patterns are clear, detailed, and flawless, just like an HD photograph or oil painting.
- Softness:That smooth, cool texture that makes your hand glide over it is unique to real silk.
Silk Carpets as an Investment Tool
Genuine hand-woven pure silk rugs do not wear out with use; on the contrary, they acquire antique value.
- Hereke and Persian Silk:Our collection of Hereke or Kum (Qum) silk carpets, which are among the world's most prestigious brands, represent an investment that can be passed down from generation to generation and always retains its monetary value.
Areas of Application
Silk carpets, while appearing delicate, are strong and, due to their value, should be used in low-traffic areas.
- The Place of Honor in the Hall:To impress your guests, in the least-visited central area of the hall.
- Tapestry:To be displayed on the wall, framed or hung like a painting.
To bring the vision of a sultan into your home, to experience the pinnacle of Turkish and world handicrafts, and to live luxury in its purest form; explore the unique pieces of our Silk Carpet collection.

The Unique Elegance of Silk Carpets
Silk carpets have a dazzling elegance that comes from the shine of natural silk.
Pera Halı's Silk Carpets collection has both artistic and decorative value with its soft texture, fine loops and detailed patterns.
Each carpet is a combination of elegance, quality and care.
Inspired by traditional hand-weaving art, these carpets share the same aesthetic line as luxury carpets, classically patterned carpets and Hereke Carpets collections.
Harmony of Colors and Patterns
Silk carpets are generally made in shades of gold, beige, cream, silver, burgundy, blue and emerald green.
These colors, combined with the naturally shiny structure of silk, add light and depth to the space.
Floral motifs, medallion forms and elegant geometric patterns are prominent in the patterns.
Using Silk Carpets in Decoration
Silk rugs are an excellent choice, especially for luxury living rooms, bedrooms, office spaces and classic decorations.
It creates a noble contrast when combined with dark-colored furniture, and provides a soft glow in light-toned decors.
These rugs are not only a decorative element but also valuable as an investment piece.
Thanks to their timeless beauty, they can be passed down from generation to generation.
Quality, Durability and the Art of Weaving
The carpets in Pera Halı's silk collection are produced with a fine weaving technique.
Thanks to its soft texture, it provides a feeling of comfort while walking, and is also long-lasting with its durability.
Colour pigments are resistant to sunlight and retain their shine for years.
Some models are made with bamboo silk threads mixed with pure silk — making them both durable and easier to clean.
Decoration Suggestion
You can create a sophisticated atmosphere by combining your silk carpets with gold-detailed accessories, crystal chandeliers, and cream-toned furniture.
Additionally, silk carpets create a luxurious whole when displayed together with Hereke Carpets, Persian Carpets or Versace Patterned Carpets.
Are silk carpets and bamboo silk carpets the same?
Are silk carpets and bamboo silk carpets the same?
No. Pure silk carpets are made from a valuable animal fiber obtained from the cocoons of silkworms. Bamboo silk, on the other hand, is a plant-based (viscose) fiber obtained from processing bamboo reeds. Bamboo carpets are the closest to the appearance of silk and are a more economical alternative, but they do not carry the investment value of pure silk carpets.
How to clean?
How to clean?
Silk carpets are sensitive to water and chemicals. It is not recommended to wipe or wash them at home. They should only be entrusted to professional cleaners specializing in silk carpets.
Is it durable?
Is it durable?
Silk fiber is as strong as steel (high tensile strength). However, because silk carpet is very thin, it may not be as resistant to physical wear and tear as wool carpet. Therefore, using it in special areas where it is not walked on with shoes will extend its lifespan.
